TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1:Nairobi – Ol-Pejeta Conservancy
(204 km, 3 to 4 hours)
- You will be picked from your accommodation or residence in Nairobi, read to be driven to the famous Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
- A former cattle ranch, it’s now a sanctuary for some of the few remaining white rhinos in the world, seeking shelter from those who wish to hunt them for their horns.
- The only chimpanzee population in Kenya resides in the Jane Goodall Chimpanzee sanctuary. Here, you can come face to face with our closest cousins and witness the great conservation work undertaken at the park.
- The park is filled with plenty of other wildlife, and you will have chance to spend time driving around the park in your vehicle to see the animals in their natural habitat.
- After you’ve sated your appetite for natural beauty, you will overnight at your camp or lodge, where dinner is served.

DAY 2: Full Day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy
- After breakfast has been served at your accommodation, you have a second day to explore the wonder of the work done at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
- Outside of the Kenyan National Park system yet internationally recognized for its conservation efforts, the last two northern white rhinos in the world are currently housed here.
- Your game drive through the park will give you plenty of opportunity to see the big five of African, along with other rare and endangered species, such as:Grevy’s Zebra, Cheetahs, The African Wild Dogs, Jackson’s hartebeest.
- Lunch will be served picnic style within the park to allow you to cover as much ground as possible, and spot as many animals as you can.
- Afternoon game drives will take you further through the park and on your voyage of discovery.
- The evening will see you return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3: Ol Pejeta Conservancy – Masai Mara National Reserve by Plane
(1 hour 30 minutes)
- From Ol Pejeta, you’ll drive to Nanyuki airstrip where you will take a domestic flight to Masai Mara.
- Upon landing, you’ll be greeted by your African safari guide who will take you through the Masai Mara on a game drive before arriving at your selected accommodation.
- After some time to settle, you can eat lunch at your camp or lodge.
- In the afternoon, your guide will confirm the following day’s itinerary and give you the opportunity to add any optional extras to your Kenyan safari.
- Dinner will be served at the camp or lodge you’ve chosen, followed by your first night sleeping in Masai Mara.

DAY 4: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve
- Following breakfast, you will spend the whole day ranging through the plains of the Masai Mara with your personal Kenyan safari tour guide.
- Visiting between July and October mean you will be on hand to witness the Wildebeest migrations
- Along with the big five of African safari, you will also be able to see: Waterbucks, Impala, Giraffes, Zebras and many more species that make Masai Mara their home
- Your guide will be able to help you identify the animals that you discover.
- At sunset return back to your Lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: Full Day in Masai Mara Game Reserve
- The day starts with a game drive to the internationally famous Leopard Gorge, as featured in the BBC documentary series Big Cat Diaries. –
- This is a day to drink in the wonders and beauty of the Masai Mara, with time to relax and take rest in the Masai Mara from the comfort of your accommodation and its facilities.
- Spa treatments are an optional extra available at most accommodation options, could there be a more perfect setting to have a relaxing massage, surrounded by the wonders of Mother Nature?
- Visiting a Masai village is another optional extra; a chance to explore the culture of these warriors who have a deep and symbiotic relationship with the lands and animals of the Masai Mara.
- You’ll be greeted with traditional song and dance and invited to explore a home in the village to further your understanding of their traditions. This activity has an extra fee of $20 per person.
- Dinner and overnight at your Lodge/Camp.
DAY 6: Masai Mara to Nairobi by flight, drive to Amboseli
(250 km – 5 to 6 hours)
- If you choose to take flights, rather than drive to the next destination, optional extra activities can be arranged for this morning of your African safari, including: Nature Walks, Game Walks, Camp Eco Walks or further spa treatments to round off your safari stay at Masai Mara.
- Whether you opt for flights, or a drive through the countryside of Kenya and the Great African Rift Valley, you will arrive at Amboseli National Park.
- Lunch will be served during your travels.
- Dinner and accommodation at your Lodge/Camp within Amboseli National Park.

DAY 7: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
- The landscape of Amboseli is dominated by the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro.
- An early start will allow you to see the summit before the clouds roll in for the day, and you will be under the watchful backdrop of the world’s highest freestanding mountain for the day.
- The savanna rolls behind the horizon and is dotted with herds of gazelle, buffalo, zebra, and more as well as big cats like lions and leopards that your wildlife safari guide will expertly track and identify with you.
- Lunch is served picnic style so you don’t miss a moment in this most epic of African safari landscapes.
- With millions of mammals, and hundreds of bird species making the Amboseli home, you’re sure to see the animals you adore, as well as have the chance to fall in love with ones you never knew existed.
- In the evening head back to your Lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight.
DAY 8: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi
(250 km, 4 to 5 hours)
- A final breakfast is served at your lodge or camp before one last game drive through the morning activity of Amboseli.
- The drive will take you out of the park and through the countryside of Kenya – homesteads and small towns line the roads and you have chance to see a slice of rural Africa as your safari swansong.
- Upon arrival in Nairobi, you can choose a hotel, residence, or airport drop-off depending on your forward journey plans.
